Solution
The snail will take 9 days to get out of the well.
Many people think the answer is 10 days because they work out that the snail climbs 3 feet each day. However, by the end of the eighth day, the snail has climbed 24 feet, and because it can climb 6 feet each day, it will escape from the well on day 9.
